Falkville honors police officer

Falkville police officer Sgt. Levi George, a lifelong resident of Morgan County and a graduate of Danville High School, was recently given special recognition by the Town of Falkville.   

Levi has been in law enforcement for six years and with the Falkville Police Department since July 2019. He graduated from the North East Alabama Law Enforcement Academy at Jacksonville State in 2013.  

Levi is married to Falkville High graduate Cassie (Hodges), and they have two children, Brock and Emilee.  

Church members help community residents  

Many church members and other concerned area residents are volunteering help for the elderly who are sick and shut in. Many thanks go out to Beverly Murphy, Chris Warnick, Linda Houston, Tommy Luker, Valerie Williamson, Jay Burleson, Marla Robinson, Carolyn Halford, Frances Rowe, Pam and Greg Holmes, Arthur and Barbara Summerford, Dawn Estes, Rhona Summerford, Jenny Asherbranner, Jane Hill, Harvey and Bonnie Thompson, Mary Henderson, Sylvia Teague and also Ginny Owens.  

Emmanuel Mennonite Activities  

Feb. 22, Joel Brenneman and Charla Hooley were married in Sugar Creek, Ohio. They are now living in the Evergreen/Massey community, near the Dutch Oven Bakery, Joel’s family business. 

The Emmanuel Mennonite School is closed, and students are being homeschooled.  

Timothy Nisly was 10 months old March 27 and is still at the Children’s Hospital in Birmingham. Only Brother Wayne and Sharon Nisly, his parents, are allowed to visit him now. The family requests your prayers for Timothy.  

The Caring Place needs your help
