UPDATE (7:35 p.m.) Daniel Miner has been recaptured in the Falkville/Eva area.

Authorities are attempting to arrest an escaped inmate in Morgan County.

Daniel Miner, 43, who escaped from a work site in Talladega County Saturday is suspected in Eva tonight.

According to authorities, deputies and U.S. Marshals are attempting to serve a warrant at a residence on Pitts Road where they believe Miner is located. The scene is active with a large police presence.

Miner, who was serving a life sentence with the possibility of parole for a Marshall County murder in 1994, escaped from a Childersburg Work Release facility Saturday night.
