Police arrest one for theft, forgery

Jan. 9, Hartselle investigator Chip Reynolds arrested Dustin Blake King, 34, of Hartselle for criminal possession of a forged instrument, third degree.
King’s bond was set at 1,000.
Reynolds said he will seek an additional nine counts of possession of a forged instrument through a grand jury.
King was listed as a suspect in a report made by his grandmother for the theft and forgery of her checks. Reynolds said he was able to locate surveillance video of King passing the forged checks. A total $1,400 was allegedly taken from the account.
