Elizabeth McGhee and Terrance Williams June 1, 2019

How They Met

Elizabeth and Terrance met the “old-fashioned” way: online. For their first date, they attended a Huntsville Havoc hockey game. It was Valentine’s Day, and Elizabeth was a bit hesitant to go at first, but the two have been together ever since – and they still enjoy going to Havoc games for date night!

The Proposal

The proposal was a complete surprise. Elizabeth and Terrance were hiking on Monte Sano Mountain in Huntsville one afternoon, and once they were at the lookout spot, Terrance got down on one knee and proposed. An unsuspecting bystander acted as an impromptu photographer and was able to catch a few shots for the happy couple. They returned to Monte Sano to take engagement photos.

Favorite Details

The big day turned out better than the couple could have ever imagined. Their favorite part was celebrating with all of their friends and family at the reception. The Midnighters did a great job of keeping the dance floor full all night long. One of Elizabeth’s favorite details from our was the beautiful flowers provided by Petals. The couple received so many compliments on the toffee roses Ali used in the arrangements! In fact, Elizabeth loved the flowers so much that she dried out several bouquets and had them framed.
