Lady Tigers rally in the fourth to defeat West Point

Hartselle broke a two-game losing streak with their 55-49 win over 5A #10 West Point on Thursday night.

Hartselle came from behind in the fourth quarter as they outscored West Point 17-10 to secure the victory. The Lady Warriors led 39-38 at the end of the third quarter.

The Lady Tigers rallied from behind earlier in the game as they trailed 13-9 at the end of the first quarter. After West Point took an 18-14 lead early in the second, Hartselle outscored the Lady Warriors 15-8 to take a 29-26 lead into halftime.

Hartselle (8-7) was led by Lillyanna Cartee, who finished with 20 points, eight steals, six rebounds, and three assists. She scored the Lady Tiger’s first 11 points of the game. Masyn Marchbanks added 16 points, while Carrington Hogan added nine for Hartselle.

West Point (12-5) was led by Miriam Oldacre, who finished with a game-high 21 points, while Molly Pendley and Lexi Shadix each scored eight.
