Sneaky Pete’s Rebel Classic

Hartselle got started in the Sneaky Pete’s Rebel Classic at Vestavia Hills High School Monday afternoon as they faced Lee – Montgomery.

The Generals jumped out to a 23-12 first-quarter lead and never looked back on their way to a 76-53 win over the Tigers.

Hartselle (3-2) was led by Brody Peebles who finished with 16 points. Tad Sivley had 10 points while Kiah Key added eight.

DeMarquise Miles led three Lee (2-0) players in double figures with 17 points. Jaman Smith had 15 points and Nicholas Barnes added 12.

The Tigers will play Opelika (0-4), who lost to Homewood 65-44, this afternoon at 3 pm.

Marx Optical Thanksgiving Tournament

Monday

Priceville 53, Randolph 31: The Bulldogs outscored Randolph 28-12 in the second half in their victory on Monday night.

Chris Thomas led Priceville with 17 points and nine rebounds while Seth Hood had 13 points.

Randolph was led by Ian Emerson who had 14 points and seven rebounds.

Priceville (2-4) will play West Point at 7:30 pm and Randolph will play Brewer at 6:00 pm tonight at Priceville High School.

Good Hope 61, Brewer 47: Good Hope turned an early six-point deficit into a 29-24 lead at halftime in their win over Brewer.

Brewer was led by Connor Hall who scored 14 points while Kris Bramlett added 10 points.

Good Hope was led by cousins Drew and Cole Maddux. Drew had 20 points and seven rebounds while Cole finished with 15 points and eight rebounds.

Good Hope will face West Limestone tonight at 7:15 pm.

Danville 60, West Point 46: Danville, who led by four points heading into the fourth, outscored West Point 19-9 in their victory on Monday afternoon.

Danville was led by KJ Melson who finished with a game-high 23 points. Wren Cole added 14 points, seven rebounds, four steals, and four assists.

West Point’s Aubry Cleghorn finished with 22 points and 18 rebounds.

Danville 72, West Limestone 62: The Hawks were led by the Cole and Melson combination who finished with 48 of Danville 72 points. Melson finished with 26 while Cole had 22.

West Limestone was led by River Helms who had a game-high 29 points while Camryn Williams added 13 points.

Danville plays Vinemont tonight at 5:45 pm.

West Limestone 67, Vinemont 51: West Limestone used a balanced scoring attack as every player on the roster scored in their victory over Vinemont.

Camryn Williams led the way for the Wildcats with 18 points while River Helms added nine points.

Vinemont was led by Katch Johnson who had a game-high 25 points in the loss.

Saturday

Priceville 47, Vinemont 36: Priceville picked up their first win of the season as they defeated Vinemont on the opening day of the Mark Optical Thanksgiving Tournament.

Chris Thomas led the way for the Bulldogs with 17 points. Seth Hood scored nine points and Trey Summers had seven.

Vinemont was led by Jordan Hall with 13 points while Katch Johnson finished with 10.

Brewer 55, West Point 44: The Patriots stretched their winning streak to three as they defeated West Point on Saturday evening.

Brewer was led by Connor Hall who finished with a game-high 16 points. Jake Lawrence had 13 while Matt Kempson added 12 for the Patriots.

West Point’s leading scorer was Will Cochran who had 12 points.

In other action at the Marx Optical Thanksgiving Tournament, Good Hope defeated Randolph 56-26 to kick-off varsity play.
