According to the Morgan County Sherriff’s Office, Morgan County Commissioner Don Stisher was arrested on a felony charge this morning.

“The Morgan County Sheriff Office executed a felony arrest warrant on Don Allen Stisher, 63 of Falkville, with the charge of Receiving Gifts. The charge is a Class C felony,” the release read. “Stisher voluntarily turned himself in at the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office. He was booked and released on his own recognizance as dictated by the warrant.”

Alabama Code: 36-25-006 reads as follows: “Contributions to an officeholder, a candidate, or to a public official’s inaugural or transitional fund shall not be converted to personal use.”
