Parker Commits to Play Baseball at UT- Martin

Addison Parker, a senior pitcher for Hartselle, recently committed to play Division 1 baseball for the university of Tennessee-Martin.

Parker said he chose to commit to UTM due to their coaching staff. “The staff really seems all in to make their program and players successful. All 3 of their coaches played college baseball at Auburn, so they know what it takes to succeed as a D1 program”

The staff at UTM has been in place a little more than a year and they have placed an emphasis on recruiting in the North Alabama area.

Parker played summer ball for the Viper Baseball Academy and two of his teammates have also committed to UTM.

Parker said that playing Hartselle and VBA baseball has given him the chance to face strong competition in every game that he has has played. He credits the two programs with making him a better player.

“I really enjoyed the small school feel on my visit to UTM last winter,” said Parker when tackling about UTM. “It is an agriculture school which is what I was looking for since I plan to major in Agribusiness.”
