Lawley, Hillman to wed Dec. 21

Mr. and Mrs. Jim Lawley of Gadsden announce the engagement of their daughter, Ella Lawley, to Nic Hillman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Hillman of Hartselle. 

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. Luther Riddle and the late Barbara Riddle of Rainbow City and the late Mr. and Mrs. I.J. Lawley.

Miss Lawley is a 2015 graduate of Westbrook Christian School and a 2019 graduate of Auburn University in Auburn, with a Bachelor of Science degree in poultry science and a minor in animal science, with a concentration in pre-vet, cum laude. 

Ella has begun her career with Aviagen in Albertville. 

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. Wayne Riggs and the late Mrs. Louise Riggs of Hamilton; Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Hooks of Pell City; and the late Mike Hillman and Sue Hillman of Cullman. 

Mr. Hillman is a 2014 graduate of Hartselle High School and a 2018 graduate of Auburn University in Auburn with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree. 

Nic has passed his Fundamentals of Engineering exam and is working toward his professional engineering license. He has begun his career with Advanced Structural Design in Hartselle. 

The wedding is planned for Dec. 21, 2019, in Guntersville. The couple is building a house in Priceville.
