Yard-sale bandit: Hartselle man arrested on counterfeit charges
A Hartselle man was arrested last week for using counterfeit cash.
According to the Decatur Police Department, Jeremy Antonio Chatmon, 34, was arrested June 20 on four counts of first-degree possession of a forged instrument.
Police said multiple residents in Decatur filed reports of Chatmon using “replica” $100 bills to pay for items at area yard sales.
Chatmon was identified, arrested and booked in the Morgan County Jail in lieu of $120,000 bond.
