Falkville holds Day of Prayer

By Martha Jackson

Falkville area residents gathered to hold a Day of Prayer event in Falkville May 2 at 9 a.m. The Rev. David Carroll led the service in the Town Hall parking lot at Falkville. Chairs were moved from the courtroom for the event.
Van Stisher and David Halbrooks led the National Anthem, Van in the morning and David at night.

This is the eighth year Falkville has held the Day of Prayer. Many pastors had topics to pray about during the program.
The topics began with the national government and covered down to the local municipalities. The theme was from John 13:34, “Love One Another As I Have Loved You,” which is a well- known scripture.

The prayer service was inspiring and full of heartfelt love. The Rev. Carroll led the benediction. There was also a night Day of Prayer program.
