Local churches announce Vacation Bible School

Many churches in the area have announced their Vacation Bible School (VBS) for this summer. The Bible Schools will serve a variety of school age kids and cover several different themes.

Bethel Baptist Church will host VBS July 22- July 26. The church is located at 1301 Bethel Rd. NE in Hartselle and each night will begin at 6 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. There will be a ‘Smore about Jesus’ theme and it is open for ages 3-12.

Life Church of Hartselle will hold their ‘Athens’ VBS July 24-July 27. The events will take place 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and will take place 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Saturday. It is open to ages four through fifth grade. Children can be registered at livelifefwd.com/vbs to be entered into a prize drawing.

East Highland Baptist Church will hold their ‘In the Wild’ VBS  June 17- June 21. East Highland is located at 1030 Main Street E. and the VBS will take place from 6-8:30 p.m. It will be open to ages four through just completed sixth grade. They will also host a Vaction Bible School Extreme experience during the same time that is for fifth and sixth grade graduates with special programming.

First Baptist Church Hartselle will hold their ‘In the Wild’ VBS June 3 – June 7. First Baptist Church Hartselle is located at 210 Woodland Street NW in Hartselle and each day will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 12:15 p.m. It is open for kindergarten through sixth grade.

Gum Springs Baptist Church will hold their ‘In the Wild’ VBS July 21 – July 24. Gum Springs Baptist is located at 371 Gum Springs Road in Hartselle and each evening will last 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Liberty Baptist church will hold their ‘In the Wild’ VBS June 10 – June 12. Liberty Baptist is located at 1206 Lane Road in Hartselle and the events will take place 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. each evening. It is open to ages birth through sixth grade. There will be a registration day June 8 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with free hotdogs and a free meal will be served each night.

Hartselle Church of Christ will hold their ‘the Greatest Show’ VBS June 10- June 13. Hartselle Church of Christ is located at 700 Sparkman St. SW in Hartselle and will hold their event from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. each day. It is open to ages three through fifth grade.

West Hartselle Baptist Church will hold their ‘Basic Elements’ VBS July 14-18. West Hartselle Baptist is located at 1640 Main Street W in Hartselle and the event will begin at 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. each evening. It is open to grades kindergarten through sixth grade. There will also be a family event July 19. 

First Independent Methodist Church Decatur will hold their ‘Roar’ VBS June 2- June 5. First Independent Methodist is located at 3 Oxmoor-Flint Road in Decatur and the event will last 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. each day. A meal is included each night and it is open to ages 3-12.

First United Methodist of Hartselle will hold their ‘Roar” VBS June 23 – June 26. First United Methodist is located at 210 Hickory St. in Hartselle and the event will last from 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. each night. It is open to ages 3 (fully potty trained) – fifth grade.

Enon Baptist Church will hold their VBS June 24- June 28. Enon Baptist Church is located at 3293 Co. Rd. 209 in Danville and the event will begin 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. It is open to ages four through sixth grade.

Danville Baptist Church will hold their VBS June 3- June 7. Danville Baptist Church is located at 5944 Al-36 in Danville and the event will begin last from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. It is open to ages four through sixth grade.

West Side Baptist Church of Eva will have their ‘Roar’ VBS June 17- June 21. West Side Baptist is located at 4250 HWY 55 E. in Eva and the event will last from 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. each day.

Mt. Nebo Baptist Church will hold their ‘In the Wild’ VBS June 3-7. Mt . Nebo is on the corner of Mt. Nebo Rd and Hwy 157 in Falkville and the event will take place from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. each night. It is open to ages three to sixth grade.

Mt. Zion Baptist Church will hold their VBS June 23 – June 27. Mt Zion Baptist is located at 256 Mt. Zion Rd. in Hartselle and the event will begin 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. each day. There will be activities for nursery to adults.

Hopewell Baptist Church will hold their ‘In the Wild’ VBS July 26 – July 28. Hopewell Baptist is located at 416 Hopewell Rd. in Danville. It is open to ages 2-15.

Epic Church of Decatur will hold their Summer XP July 15- July 18. Epic Church is located at 607 14th St. SE and the event will take place from 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.

First Baptist Church of Falkville will hold their VBS June 9 – June 13. First Baptist Church of Falkville is located 305 E. Main St. and the event will take place from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. It is open to ages four through twelfth grade.

Daystar of Hartselle will hold KidFest July 14-July 17. Daystar Hartselle is located at 1010 Nance Ford Rd. SW in Hartselle and the event will begin at 6 p.m. each night. There will be games and prizes and it is open to the entire family.
