The choral group from the Emmanuel Mennonite Church at Massey will sing hymns at the Summerford Nursing Home and Rehab April 14 at 2 p.m. Their director is Lowell Brenneman. Feb.15th the Southeast area-wide youth Bible School started at the Mennonite Church in Belvedere, Tenn. Joel, Marcus and Ruth Brenneman enjoyed attending the Mennonite activities. Linsfred Kauffman went as a board member for 10 days. Feb. 22 the youth gave a program in songs and a message afterwards.

Joel Brenneman returned from a mission serving Haiti and also was a student at the school. Feb. 19 Brother Sam and Arlene Nisly went to Lyndon, Kansas, for the Midwest Bible School for the youth, and Bro. Sam was one of the teachers. Lavern Brenneman and Caleb Weaver attended as students, studying God’s word. Bro. Sam and Arlene Nisly visited his 99-year-old mother in Hutchinson, Kansas, before returning to Alabama.

March 3 Brother Stephen Beachy, with his wife Susan from Belvedere, Tenn., was guest preacher for the morning worship service at 11 a.m. Susan enjoyed attending the Sunday service.

March 10 Lindsfred and Rosetta Kauffman went to Lott, Texas, to attend a wedding, and Earl Dontrager and Tim Kauffman came to visit their parents, the Eli Kauffmans, and also to see their grandparents, the Eli Weavers. They attended the Emmanuel Mennonite morning church service at Massey.
The Jake Stolzfus family went to bring home their son, Jerlyn, who was at the Teen Ranch in Missouri.

March 22 at 7 p.m., the Mennonite School annual closing program was held, and the director was Mose Yoder. Benjamin Nisly, Amber Hosteatler and Felicity Miller are happy to go to kindergarten at the Mennonite School.
March 24 Brother Wayne Nisly was the guest preacher at Good Springs, Tenn., Mennonite Church morning worship.

North Alabama Antique Tractor Association Meeting
The North Alabama Antique Tractor Association will hold its next meeting April 9. Everyone from the area enjoys the covered dish supper and business session held at the Eva Senior Center. Members also look forward to spring festivals in the region and their Antique Tractor Shows, which will be announced at a later date.

Congregational Methodist Church Activities
The closing service for the revival at Corinth West Methodist Church March 20 at 7 p.m. featured special songs and the Rev. Coy Morgan of Phil Campbell’s sermon from Hosea, “Break Up Your Fallow Ground.” Robbie Johnson sang “The Anchor Holds;” Roxanne Asherbranner sang “I Need You Now;” and the Rev. Coy and Faye Morgan sang an “Old Time Religion Song.” Mt. Vernon Methodist, Piney Grove and Corinth West Methodist will have a joint Sunrise Service at 6 a.m. at the Mt. Vernon sanctuary with breakfast following in the fellowship hall.
Corinth West Methodist will have a special Palm Sunday Service with Holy Communion led by the pastor, the Rev. Wayne Jetton, April 14, at 11a.m.

Falkville Town Hall Activities
The Falkville Town Hall staff is searching for disaster recovery services in the region and state. The mayor and staff met March 25 at 4 p.m. in the courtroom for their work session. The regular meeting was held April 1 at 4 p.m. and was open to the public. The meeting was conducted by Place Two Council Member Alton Hill and Mayor Ken Winkles.

McKendree United Methodist Church News
The morning worship service at McKendree United Methodist Church March 24 at 10:45 a.m. featured the Rev. Darrell Mosely’s sermon on “A Fruitful Life.” Everyone enjoyed the hymns they are using from the Inspiration Book.

The congregation songs led by Tom Summerford were “Life’s Railway to Heaven,” “Power in the Blood,” “The Way that He Loves” and “Pass Me Not.”
The McKendree planners have Palm fronds for the Palm Sunday service to be held April 14 at 10:45 a.m. The Sunrise Service will be held at 6 a.m. April 21, followed by placing flowers on the cross out front and breakfast in the fellowship hall.
