New Life–God’s Church hosts Glory Road Quartet’s final concert

By Martha Jackson

The members of New Life–God’s Church hosted the final concert of the Glory Road Quartet March 3.
Charles Howse, a Hartselle insurance agent, organized the quartet in 2003. The original quartet comprised Charles Howse singing lead, Mike Tyler singing bass, Keith Smith singing tenor and T.J. Holmes singing baritone. A year or so later, T.J. was replaced by Bob Jaques, who remained with the group for about eight years. Bob was replaced by Jerry Haynes, who stayed until the group’s retirement this month.

Charles Howse is a music leader at New Life Church.
