Hartselle High athletes to be honored tomorrow

Seven Hartselle High School student-athletes will be honored tomorrow during a ceremony at 11 a.m. The student-athletes will be receiving the Award of Excellence from the Alabama High School Athletic Association. Sen. Arthur Orr (R-Decatur)  will make the presentations at 11 a.m at the school.

According to the AHSAA, the award “is for the exemplary display of sportsmanship, ethics and integrity and is a program of the National Federation of State High School Associations and the AHSAA.”

The Alabama High School Athletic Association, founded in 1921, is a private agency organized by its member schools to control and promote their athletic programs. The purpose of the AHSAA is to regulate, coordinate and promote the interscholastic athletic programs among its member schools, which include public, private and parochial institutions.
