Bentley’s at the Outhouse to bring good times and eats
Bentley’s at the Outhouse is aiming to open by the end of this month. The popular burger joint will be opening with a fresh name and new location in Downtown Hartselle, but will still be serving the same burgers that were a semifinalist in Bama’s Best Burgers competition last year.
Travis Smith is a co-owner of Bentley’s at the Outhouse, and says that at its core, Bentley’s will still remain the same family restaurant but will have more options. “It will basically be the same food. It is still a hamburger place with some new items. We are trying to appeal to sports fans as well with alcohol and wings,” Smith said.
The new locations boasts multiple televisions throughout the dining room and has one 150 inch screen as well. It also has a stage area and upstairs seating area that can be rented out for parties and special occasions. In addition, there will be pool tables and outside patio seating. The restaurant is also bringing in additional seating from roughly 30 to 240.
Smith says that in the future, they are looking to have live music on the weekends and a karaoke night. They are also exploring the option to have trivia night and say they plan to have sports playing on most of the tvs. “We have been referred to as a bar, but we are not a bar. We are a family restaurant that also serves alcohol,” Smith says.
The new name is something that Smith says has been a big conversation starter. Smith and his wife has wanted to start a restaurant named the outhouse for years, and was finally able to achieve those dreams when he partnered with Jeremy Reed and Bentley’s. “People won’t forget eating at the outhouse. We want people to remember to remember eating at the place and they definitely will,” Smith says.
