Lifework to host free Community Appreciation Day

LifeWork Physical Therapy is hosting Community Appreciation Day July 15 at its office in Hartselle, 913 Highway 31, in celebration of the company’s first year of business.

The event is free to the public and will include free hotdogs and hamburgers; a bouncy house and slide; snow cones; chair massages; fire cupping; and LifeWork T-shirts available for the first 50 people.

There will also be a raffle and a dunking booth available at a small charge, and proceeds from those two events will go to the Hartselle Parks and Rec Shining Stars league.

“We just wanted to say thank you to the community for supporting us this year,” LifeWork owner Mike Tucker said. “Hopefully we’ll have the parking lots full, and we’ll run out of food.”

Local businesses have donated to the event, including gift cards for the raffle from the Freight House, Alfonso’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, the Hartselle Aquatic Center and Jumping Monkeys Inflatables.

“We didn’t say this would be our first annual because I didn’t want to back myself in a corner, but maybe if this is successful, we’ll consider doing it every year,” Tucker said. “Let us bless everybody else’s lives just like God has blessed ours.”
