Johnsiey Andy (Josh) Suit

Funeral for Johnsiey Andy (Josh) Suit, 80, was held Sept. 23 at noon at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leon Holt officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Suit passed away Sept. 18, 2017 at his residence. He was born Dec. 3, 1936, in Cullman County to Doliey Thomas Suit and Gladys Johnson Suit. He was a member of the Little Gethsemane House of Prayer and the Calvary Holiness Church of Lacey’s Spring.

Mr. Suit was a preacher for 45 years. He was a commercial farmer for Suit Vegetable Farms and was retired from Excellant Inc. of Madison as an auto body man.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Jo Suit; his parents; a grandson, Tamige Lee Chaney; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, William Edward Suit and Doliey Jr. Suit; one sister, Dorthey Brown; a sister-in-law, Wanda Holt; and two brothers-in-law, Harry Davis and Verbon Davis.

He was a friend to everyone. He will be greatly missed by those who worked and visited Hair & Nails by Southern Belles, where he was lovingly known by all as “Granddaddy.”
Survivors include a son, Andy Suit of Valhermoso Springs; five daughters, Regina Williams of Somerville, Bobbie Evans of Lacey’s Spring, Debra McNutt of Valhermoso Springs, Betty Mazingo of Valhermoso Springs and Laura Powers of Valhermoso Springs; two brothers, Mack Suit of Valhermoso Springs and Michael Suit of Valhermoso Springs; a sister, Dianne Couch of Athens; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Cecil Davis, Verlin Davis and Steve Davis; and sisters-in-law, Willie Hall, Dessie Suit, Brenda Muckenfuss and Beverly Jinkins.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
