A public hearing will be set for September 12 in regards to accepting a petition from adjoining property owners as discussed in the July 11 meeting.

Commission Chairman Ray Long said with the property being a combination of old road and new roads and it not being used, the plan is to officially close it and give it back to the landowners.

“We had a short meeting, but we discussed several important things,” Long said. “We changed the next meeting from the July 25 to the 27 and that day is the actual day that I’ll pass out my budget for the year.”

Long said he will provide his budget to the commission and they will make any changes that they feel like they need to.

In other business, the council:

1.
