Funeral for Thomas Marshall, 77, was Mon., April 3, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Johnson Chapel UMC  with Rev. Tom Salter officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.  Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Marshall died Fri., March 31, 2017.  He was born April 15, 1939, in Charlotte County, Virginia, to John Spragins Marshall and Julia Lyle Marshall, who preceded him in death. He was a member of the Johnson Chapel United Methodist Church. He was employed as a Civil Engineer for TVA prior to his retirement. He was also preceded in death by a brother, John Spragins Marshall, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Puckett Marshall; two sons, Bill Marshall (Marla) and Paul Marshall (Lisa); three daughters, Valerie Marshall, Noni Jewellson and Frankie Jacobs (Brent) and twelve grandchildren, Matthew Bond, Tyler Marshall, Ben Barnett, David Pike, Caleb Marshall, Meg Barnett, Luke Jacobs, Elisabeth Marshall, Cara Jewellson, Samuel Jacobs, Faith Marshall and Audrey Marshall.

Pallbearers were Tyler Marshall, Caleb Marshall, Luke Jacobs, Samuel Jacobs, Brent Jacobs and Mark Pike. Honorary Pallbearers were David Pike, Ben Barnett, Dale Taylor, Willie Green, Jim Pugh and Bill Pugh.
