Funeral for John Martin Ace Perkins, Sr., 71, of Danville was Tues., March 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hal Daigre and Rev. Michael Gunter officiating with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery with Masonic Honors and Volunteer Firefighter Honors and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Perkins, who died on Sat., March 25, 2017 at his home, was born Oct. 22, 1945 in Huntsville to William Perry Perkins and Mary Roberts Ferrario Perkins. Ace was a farmer and retired from JFG Coffee where he worked in retail sales. He was a member of the First Independent Methodist Church in Flint, a 50-year pin recipient of the Nunn-Oden Masonic Lodge and was a member and Board Member of the Danville Volunteer Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, William Andrew Perkins.
Survivors include, his wife, Kathryne Jones Perkins; a son, Johnny Perkins and Nonnie Eady of Danville; a brother, Bill Roberts (Barbara) of Brownsville, Tx.; a sister, Jean Gay Kennedy (Bill) of Killen; a granddaughter, Kayla Perkins Bibb (Michael) of Danville; a great-granddaughter, Charlee Brooke Bibb; three nieces, Cynthia Dobbs, JoAnn Nichols and Sarah Terry and her special friends, Steve, Donna and Michelle Woods, Sue Nelson and Doug Wigginton.
Steven Vest, Ray Williams, Terrel Wray, Jake Wray, Robbie Hill and Conrad Morton will serve as pallbearers.
Steve Woods, M.D. Prater, Doug Wigginton, Members of the Nunn-Oden Masonic Lodge and the members of the Danville Volunteer Fire Department will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
