Brenda Chandler Tapscott

A graveside service for Brenda Chandler Tapscott, 69, was Tues., March 14, at 3 p.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery with  Bro. Greg Barbee officiating
and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Mrs. Tapscott died Sun., March 12, 2017, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born June 22, 1947, in Limestone County to Howard “Cap” Casper Chandler and Mamie Louise Mason Chandler.  She was preceded in death by her mother; husband, Paul Tapscott; and daughter, Joy Tomlinson.
She is survived by a son, Chris Alexander (Terri) of Moulton; five daughters, Gina Livingston (Andy), of Decatur, Jennifer Harding (Peter) of Trinity, Jackie Tapscott Eubanks (Greg) of Neel, Melody Tapscott Alexander (Michael) of Florida and Valerie Tapscott Scroggins (Mike) of Prattville; her father, “Cap” Chandler; a sister, Glenda Morris (Larry) of Decatur; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and her dog, “Baby Doll”.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
