Funeral for John “Johnny” M. Grant, 68, of Hartselle will be Wed. (today), Jan. 11, at 2 p.m. at First Independant Methodist Church, (Flint) with Bro. Hal Daigre and Bro. Billy Wilbanks officiating and Peck Funeral Home
directing.

Burial will be in Forrest Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Grant died Sat., Jan. 7, 2017, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born Dec. 4, 1948, in Morgan County to Bervel Edward Grant and Irene Blankenship Grant. He was an employee of the State of Alabama as a
grain inspector, prior to retirement. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dwight Edward Grant; and a
granddaughter, Halie Sanford.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Parker Grant of Hartselle;
three daughters, Angela Grant, Krissy Grant and
Christine Sanford, all of Hartselle; a brother,
Sherman Grant (Sherri) of Decatur; a sister,
Darlene Thomas (Dave) of Decatur; six grandchildren,
Kayla Grant, Peyton Sanford, Kaitlyn Holcombe, John Isaac Holcombe, Ethan Sanford and Lilly Sanford; a great-grandchild, Brantley Singleton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Zane Craven, Taylor Karadimas, Chris Mahr, Jacob Victorina, Andrew Demastus and Nick Osbourne.
