SHADY GROVE BAPTIST CHURCH TO HOLD SANCTITY OF HUMAN LIFE   SUNDAY, JANUARY THE 15TH

The Members of Shady Grove Baptist Church will hold their “Sanctity of Human Life Sunday” on Jan. 15. On Jan. 13, 1984 Ronald Reagan issued a Proclamation designating Jan. 22 as the first National Sanctity of Human Life Day. (Jan. 22, 1973 was the day the United States Supreme Court legalized abortion on demand in all 50 states). Churches around the United States use the day to celebrate God’s gift of life, commemorate the many lives lost to abortion and commit themselves to protecting human life at every stage. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knows right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.-Psalm 139: 14-15 .                                       Special belated happy birthday wishes go out this week for J.
