Funeral for Chris Simmons, 38, was Mon., Jan. 2, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Anthony Simmons officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mr. Simmons died Thur., Dec. 29, 2016, at his residence.  He was
born July 5, 1978, in Morgan County to Mailon Travis Simmons and Teresa
Marie Bullard Simmons.  He was a member of Morgan County Rescue Squad and
was a volunteer fire fighter at Punkin Center. He was a member of Family
Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Teresa Bullard
Simmons.
He is survived by his wife, Rise’ Ann Simmons; a daughter, Shayla McMillan; his father, Mailon Travis Simmons; a brother, Brandon Simmons; and a nephew, Devon Levi Simmons.
Pallbearers were friends and family.
