Funeral for Ruth Owens Segars, 90, of Hartselle was Fri., Dec. 30, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Thompson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Forrest Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Segars died Fri., Dec. 23, 2016, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born July 9, 1926, in Morgan County to Tommy Elbert Owens and Katie Mae Nelms Owens. She was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Harvey Segars. She will be missed by her family and many friends.

She is survived by four sons, Frank (Julia), Mike (Marlena), Joe (Rosa) and Tommy (Kristi); six grandchildren, Joey, Todd, Angie, Stephanie, Timmy and Marilee; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers were her grandchildren.

The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Falkville Health Care Center for loving and taking care of her for the last years of her stay on this earth. She loved everyone at FHCC and considered them an extension of her family.
