Funeral for Irone Davis Jacobs, 84, of Hartselle was Mon., Dec. 26, at 7 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Berry, the Rev. Charles Stone and the Rev. Rich Thompson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

On Tues., Dec. 27, a funeral was held at Rocky Head Baptist Church in Rocky Head at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Joe Underwood and the Rev. Bill Weed officiating.

Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Dale County.
Mrs. Jacobs died Thur., Dec. 22, 2016, at her residence.  She was
born Dec. 15, 1932, in Pike County to Marion Grady Davis and Orpha
Mitchell Flowers Davis. Mrs. Jacobs was a devoted wife of 65 years,
faithful helpmate in her husband’s ministry at First Baptist Church of
Hartselle and New Friendship Baptist Church of Somerville. She was a homemaker, worked in retail sales and for many years she worked as a bridal consultant. She provided a home day care for several years and was affectionately known as “Ma-Maw Jacobs”. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Earl Clark Jacobs of Hartselle; two daughters, Patricia Ballard (Roger) of Searcy, Ark. and
Erlene Clark (Kenneth) of Hartselle; a brother, Hubert Davis (Alma) of Phenix City; four grandchildren, Jason Smith, Joshua Clark, Jared Smith and Kevin Clark; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Valley for their care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley.
