Pearl Tapscott

Funeral for Pearl Tapscott, 93, of Falkville was Mon., Aug. 29, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Nuss and Bro. Mike Eaton officiating.

Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Mrs. Tapscott died Fri., Aug. 26, 2016, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born Jan. 28, 1923, in Morgan County to William Earnest Prince and Cora Etta Thomas Prince. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sheilds Tapscott; a son, Glen Tapscott; two daughters-in-laws, Brenda Roy Tapscott and Maxine King Tapscott; and 12 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by two sons, R.E. Tapscott and Ricky Tapscott, both of Hartselle; two daughters, Gail Nuss (Jerry) and Etta Fowler, both of Falkville; a daughter-in-law, Linda Clemons Tapscott of Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Ethelyne Goodwin of Birmingham; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Stacy Tapscott, Jason Tapscott, Heath Tapscott, Chris Wallace, Mickey Wallace and Tony Tapscott.

Honorary pallbearers were Eric Stephenson, Andrew Nuss, Joey Dukeminier and Seth Nuss.

Mrs. Tapscott’s family would like to thank the staff of Summerford Nursing Home for their kind and compassionate care.
