Mike Haynie

Funeral for Mike Haynie, 47, of Somerville, was Thur., Sept. 1, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Craye Hall officiating.

Burial was in Valhermoso Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Haynie died Fri., Aug. 26, 2016, at his residence. He was born May 7, 1969, in Santa Monica, Calif., to Milton Lee Haynie and Elizabeth Pearl White Haynie. He was employed with Wayne Farms. He was a husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was also a volunteer firefighter for Brindlee Mountain and had previously volunteered for the Somerville and Talucah stations. Mr. Haynie attended Valhermoso Baptist Church. Formerly, before moving to Alabama, he led and taught the Royal Rangers at Arleta Assembly of God in Arleta, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Haynie.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Haynie; four sons, Daniel Davis Michael Haynie, Jr., Antonio Bonilla and Josiah Haynie; four daughters, Adrianna Nevarez Sandy Antonio (Angel), April Bonilla and Angela Bonilla; a brother, Jhym Haynie-Valdivia (Michael); a sister, Kelly Haynie-Estrada (Amanda); and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Mike’s fellow firefighters.
