Falkville News for May 25

The weekly magazine, Woman’s World, has an article, “Circle of Kindness,” where people write in and state some kind of kindness that strangers have done for them.

They never knew who the stranger was. I never would think that some stranger would do this for Jeanne Blackmon and Mrs. Bob Ramey. This has happened to us whenever we have eaten out, once at Holy Smoke Barbeque Restaurant. A stranger that was sitting behind us at the restaurant came to our table and told us that he wanted to pay for our lunch. We, of course, thanked him for his kindness. The same thing happened to us again Fri., May 6, at Sogo Restaurant. The stranger that was sitting behind us told the server that he was paying for our lunch and to wish us a happy Mother’s Day. After he had left, the server came to our table and told us what he had done. We were not aware of what this stranger had done until the server told us. We wish to thank this stranger for his kindness. It made our day.

All things are possible for him who believes.

The Young at Heart of First Baptist Falkville traveled to Decatur for their May outing. Enjoying a delicious buffet lunch at Twist Restaurant were: Charlotte Morris, Mike and Debra Thompson, John and Martha Nelson, Vaughn and Rita Burden, Alfred and Linda Ryan, Bruce and Georgia Treece, Joe and Fran Edmondson, Dean Nelson, Barbra Fields, Geraldine Row, Dennet Wood and niece Brianna. Tricia Pruitt, vice president of the Better Business Bureau, was the guest speaker.
