Byram Blackwood

Funeral for Byram Blackwood, 64, of Holly Pond was Mon., May 2, at 2 p.m. at Rock Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Brent Colee officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Rock Creek Cemetery.

Mr. Blackwood died Thur., April 28, 2016, at Huntsville Hospital. He
was born June 1, 1951, in Morgan County to Arlin Blackwood and Cleo Tanner
Blackwood. He was a Vietnam War veteran serving with the U.S.
Army. He was formerly employed by Wolverine Tube in the casting department
and was a member of Resurrection Baptist Church in Somerville. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Orlanda Blackwood.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Blackwood of Holly Pond; a son, Ted Mumaw of Huntsville; two daughters, Amanda Butler (Brandon) of Union Grove and
Tracy Holliday of Guntersville; a brother, Gary Blackwood (Frieda) of Eva; a sister, 
Loretta Patton (Don) of Eva; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
