Legion Post 52 Auxiliary to host bake sale

American Legion Post 52 Auxiliary held their monthly meeting Thur., March 3, at 7 p.m. President Nancy Train conducted the meeting with Adjutant Beverly Train reading the minutes and Treasurer Wendy Garrett giving the treasurer’s report. The auxiliary welcomed Martha Jackson as a new member.

The Auxiliary ladies will hold a fundraiser with a bake sale, Sat., March 26, at the Huddle House in Hartselle at 1 p.m.

The Auxiliary will have a drawing at the Post 52 building during Bingo Sat., March 26, for a generator. The tickets are six for $5 and you do not have to be present to win. The proceeds will go towards paying expenses for Legion members to attend the mid-winter conference.

The members are also selling tickets for a $50 bill to be given away each week during Bingo. You have to be present to win. The proceeds from these ticket sales also go to the American Legion Conference fund. Anyone interested in buying tickets can do so on Saturday nights during Bingo at the Post 52 building located on Sparkman Street.

The Post 52 Ladies Auxiliary will host a birthday celebration for the Tut Fann Veteran’s Home in Huntsville Fri., March 18, at 1 p.m. The ice cream for the celebration is donated by Wal-Mart in Cullman.

The April meeting will be Thur., April 7, with dinner at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting at 7 p.m.
