Drawing of gun found on wall at HHS

The Hartselle Police Department and Hartselle City Schools report that on Thur., March 3, 2016, two HHS students reported finding a hand drawn picture of a gun with the word March and what appears to be a number 4 written on the wall of one of the men’s restrooms inside HHS. School administrators have reviewed security footage and continue to investigate this issue. No specific threats of any kind have been received. After consultation with HHS SRO and HPD, we have determined the drawing to be a prank and have no reason to believe an actual threat exists. However, as a precautionary measure, Hartselle PD will maintain and extra police presence in and around HHS on Friday, March 4th. School personnel have been made aware of this incident and the staff of HHS will be working with HPD to ensure the security and safety of the students during school tomorrow.
