The annual City Appreciation Luncheon was held Thur., Dec. 10, at the Hartselle Fine Arts Center. The event is sponsored each year by the Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce and is held right before the Christmas holidays. Susan Hines, president of the chamber said, “this is one way each year that we can show our appreciation to all of the City of Hartselle and Hartselle Utility employees and to share a little holiday spirit with these good folks. These fine folks do so much for all of us throughout the year.”

The attendees dined on turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce and lots of great desserts. Cracker Barrel prepared the meal.

Sponsors of the event include the Hartselle Enquirer, The Tank Team, Peck Funeral Home, Home Mortgage of America, Mack’s Paint & Body Shop and RJ Young.

Several businesses also donated door prizes including, It’s Your Day, Kroger, Smith’s Florist, The Freight House, Lowe’s, Oh! Bryans Family Steakhouse and Wal-Mart.

Over 150 folks were served lunch and enjoyed the fellowship with each other. Door prizes were drawn at the conclusion and the winners will be notified.
