Carl James Lang

Funeral for Carl James Lang, 83, of Decatur was Tues., Aug. 4, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Fanning officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in New Friendship Cemetery.

Mr. Lang died Sun., Aug. 2, 2015, at his residence. He was born Sept. 25, 1931, in Tullahoma, Tenn., to Bradford Lang and Lula May Thompson Lang. He was a heavy equipment operator for Holland & Woodard prior to his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by two daughters, Penny Michelle Schooley (Roger) of Priceville and Sonja Annette Lanford (Joe) of Union Hill; a brother, William Lang of Lacey’s Spring; and four grandchildren, Ashley Schooley, Joshua Schooley, Houston Lanford and Cody Lanford.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Joshua, Houston and Cody and family friends.
