Faith Independent Church, located on Bell Springs Road on Lacon Mountain, has services each Sunday at 10 a.m. for Sunday school and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. for worship (except on third Sunday nights–no service). Pattillo Street Church of God holds Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. (classes for all ages) and praise and worship at 10:30 a.m. A Sunday evening service is held at 5 p.m. and a Wednesday service at 7 p.m., including youth activities. The church is located at 1211 Pattillo St. SW in Hartselle, and the pastor is the Rev. John McPeek.

Rock Springs Baptist Church, at 525 Rock Springs Road in Hartselle, hosts community prayer time every first Wednesday of the month starting at 6:30 p.m., and every third Wednesday for visitation and canvassing. St. Barnabas Episcopal Church of Hartselle, located at 1450 Sparkman St. NW, holds Sunday services at 10 a.m. followed by an adult Bible lesson and refreshment hour at 11 a.m. The Rev. David Basinger presides and welcomes all to the family-oriented church.

Cedar Creek Freewill Baptist Church, 1303 Cedar Creek Church Road in Hartselle, holds Sunday services at 10 a.m.  for  Sunday school, 11 a.m. for preaching, 6 p.m. and on Wednesday evening service is at  7 p.m.

Salem United Methodist Church on Barkley Bridge Road has a food pantry for the needy. Call the church at 256-773-8030 and leave a message. The church will try to help those who are hungry.

First Independent Methodist Church in Decatur will have a men’s Bible study each Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Hal at the annex building. Bring cans for the can trailer every Sunday or Wednesday. Proceeds go toward youth camp.

Valhermoso Baptist Church, 7312 Highway 36 East in Lacey’s Spring, offers Sunday school at 10 a.m., worship at 11 a.m., Sunday night services including discipleship training at 5 p.m. and worship at 6 p.m. Classes for youth and adults are Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. Pastor is Craye Hall.

Piney Grove Christian Church hosts services as follow: Sunday school at 10 a.m., preaching at 11 a.m., night service at 6 p.m. and each Wednesday for Bible study at 6 p.m.

Liberty Baptist Church, 1206 Lane Road NW, holds services each Sunday with Bible study at 9:45 a.m., Bible preaching at 11 a.m., discipleship training at 5:30 p.m. and Bible preaching at 6 p.m.

Fairview: The Grace Place in Falkville offers Celebrate Recovery ministry. It is a 12-step recovery ministry that uses biblical principles to defeat all types of addictions, habits, hang-ups and life struggles. Meetings are Tuesdays at 7 p.m. at Fairview: The Grace Place. Gum Springs Church, 321 Gum Springs Rd., Hartselle is having a Benefit singing with the Fellowship Quartet for J.E. Mullins May 15, at 6:30 p.m. Mullins is a  victim of car wreck which left him unable to work. Light refreshments will be served.
