Why do bad things happen to good people

One thing that’s hard for me to understand is why  bad things happen to good people. When our lives are interrupted by these situations we must not let it defeat us. God will not leave us to face these struggles alone. In John 16:33, He tells us these things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world, ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. We must remember that for a child of God the victory has already been won in that we can find the peace to get through the things that we don’t understand.

Pastor Ben Bate of New Center Baptist Church announced the Summer Scripture Memory Program is underway. Join in and memorize God’s word this summer. You may pick up your program at the Welcome Center (sixth grade and under – yellow program, and blue ones for youth and adult.) At the end of July, there will be a pizza party and a bronze, silver and gold medal awards ceremony.
