Freda Barnard

A graveside service for Freda Barnard, 88, of New Mexico, was Wed., June 3, at 10 a.m. at South Park Cemetery with Randy White officiating and Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory directing.

Mrs. Barnard died Sun., May 31, 2015, in Roswell, New Mexico. She was born Aug. 27, 1926, in Falkville to Bronco H. Holmes and Essie Dunlap. A very caring and loving person, she was a “hoot” to be around. She loved to wheel and deal, spend time with her family and talk on her phone with friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James Holmes and Ellis Holmes; and a sister, Sara Williams.

She is survived by her children, Julia (Judy) McClellan of Falkville, Jan Winkler of Roswell, New Mexico, Johnny Barnard and Jackie White (Randy) of Ovalo, Texas; her siblings, Peggy Williams of Falkville, O.D. Holmes of Decatur and Jane Russell of Vinemont; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Johnathon Barnard, Cody Woodward, Sam Anders, Jeff Winkler and Ernie De Las Santos.
