Danville goes 2-2 in tournament play

Danville’s Lady Hawks (35-16) won two games and lost two in the Huntsville Invitational Tournament on Saturday.

The Lady Hawks defeated Alabama Christian 25-13, 25-14, and Scottsboro 25-11, and lost to Huntsville twice, once in pool play, 19-25, 20-15 and in the first round of the tournament, 18-25,25-18, 15-9.

Kheala Roberts paced Danville in scoring with 29 kills and four blocks. Sydni Shelton had 28 kills, Charlee Anderson scored 48 assists, Sloan Lindsey had 17 digs, Kellee Stiles recorded 12 digs and Jada Harris had four blocks.
