Funeral for Richard L. Greer, 67, of Falkville will be Fri., Sept. 6, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Richard Sport officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Falkville City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thurs., Sept. 5, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Greer died Wed., Sept. 4, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born June 16, 1946, in Morgan County to Charles Thomas Greer and Christine Asherbranner Greer. He was formerly a self-employed general contractor. He was a Member of Danville Church of Christ and President of the North Alabama Antique Tractor Club. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Jeffrey Alan Greer.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Greer of Falkville; two sons, John T. “Tommy” Greer and wife Judy of Courtland and Jayson Greer and wife Monte of Eva; a daughter, Laurie Smith and husband Daniel of Falkville; two brothers, Milton Greer and Larry Greer; a sister, Sherry Mashburn; seven grandchildren, Sarah Smith, Cody Smith, Presley Craft, Martin Greer Carson Greer, Idalee Greer and Kade George.
