Aug. 24

Morgan County Celebration Arena will have a National Barrel Horse Association barrel race Aug. 24. Gate fee is $4 per adult. Children 6 and under are free. Sixty-second exhibitions will be from 2-5 p.m. with a cost of $4 per run. Show will begin after 5 p.m. Entry fees are $5 for peewee barrels, $20 for youth and adult/senior 4-D and $35 for open 4-D.

Aug. 26

The Austin/Decatur/ Morgan County College Fair will be Aug. 26 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Calhoun Community College’s aerospace training center on the Decatur campus. Juniors and seniors as well as their parents and advisors are invited to attend. For more information, call 256-260-2494.

The Hartselle Board of Zoning Adjustment meeting’s submittal deadline will be Mon. Aug. 26.

The Depot Days Festival Committee will meet Aug. 28 at 8 a.m.

Aug. 29

The Total Resource Committee will have a meeting at lunch at noon.

Aug. 30

The Hartselle High School football team will have its opening football game Aug. 30 at 7 p.m. at J.P. Cain Stadium.

Sept. 1

The Warren family reunion will be held at the Walker Hilton Building (Traders and Farmers Bank) in Double Springs on Sun., Sept. 1, beginning at 10:30 a.m. All descendent of the late James and John M. Warren are invited. Please bring a covered dish, For more information, call 205-489-2320.

Hospice of Cullman is partnering with Masquer-ade Fundraising on Thurs., Sept. 5, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Fri., Sept. 6, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. to host a Fall $5 Jewelry and Accessories Sale with proceeds going to Hospice of Cullman County Inc. Break-Through Ministry for Christ, 805 Midway St., Hartselle, will conduct its 19th Annual Pastoral Appreciation Sept. 6-8. The Somerville Celebration Committee is having a town wide yard sale Sat., Sept. 7, 6 a.m. to noon. Rain or shine. Yard sale trail map will be handed to folks coming for the sales in the courthouse square at 5:45 a.m. the day of the sale. You don’t even have to get out of the car.
