Early Release for Kindergarten – Aug. 19-23

The already-released 2013-2014 school calendar lists Aug. 19 as the first day for students. In the original plans, kindergarten students would attend school until lunchtime Aug. 19-20.

Due to additional one-on-one assessments, this has been changed to five half-days Aug. 19-23. The first five days will be half-days for kindergarten students.

Hartselle City Schools is piloting a new GOLD Assessment for kindergarten students. The GOLD assessment along with our beginning of the year Reading & Math assessments will be given on the day your child stays the full day.

Kindergarten teachers will let you know which day (Monday through Friday) will be a full school day for your child.
