    Church Calendar for July 31

    “HayDay!” vacation Bible school will be Sat., Aug. 3, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Forrest Chapel United Methodist Church, located at 250 Forrest Chapel Road in Hartselle. Kids will be up to their elbows in farming fun. It will also feature Bible stories, crafts, refreshments and lunch. Water activities, so bring a swimsuit, towel and sunscreen. Ages 2 years old to sixth grade. For more information, call 256-773-2730.

     

    Tunsel Road Baptist Church in Hartselle will host a Swamp John’s dinner on Mon., Aug. 5, from 4 to 7 p.m. $10 per plate, choice of fish, chicken or shrimp, or combination. Tickets may be purchased at the door.

     

    No Fences Cowboy Church of Morgan County, located on the corner of County Road 55 West and U.S. 31 South near Falkville Post Office, has the following service schedule: Sundays at 9:30 a.m., Tuesdays at at 6:30 p.m. for adult and youth Bible studies and first Tuesday night suppers at 6 p.m. Josh Sparkman is the pastor.     Walnut Grove Baptist Church, located at 622 South Bethel Road in Hartselle, is a southern Baptist church located approximately 2.5 miles south of Highway 67 in Priceville. The Pastor is John D. Bain.     St. Barnabas Episcopal Church of Hartselle, located at 1450 Sparkman St. NW, holds Sunday services at 10 a.m. followed by an adult Bible lesson and refreshment hour at 11 a.m. The Rev. Joseph Sanderson presides and welcomes all to the family-oriented church.

     

    Somerville Church of God at 3151 Highway 67, Somerville, meets on Sunday at 10 a.m. for Sunday school, 11 a.m. for morning worship, 6 p.m. for evening worship and 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday for prayer meeting and Bible study.     Bible Baptist Church, located at 2750 Hwy. 36, W. Hartselle, invites you to worship services as follows: Sunday school, 10 a.m.; morning worship, 11 a.m.; evening worship, 6 p.m.; and Wednesday Bible study and prayer meeting, 7 p.m. For more information, call 256-502-8036.

     

    Gum Springs Baptist Church, located at 321 Gum Springs Road in Hartselle, has the following service schedule: Sunday school at 10 a.m. and Sunday morning worship at 11 a.m., discipleship training each Sunday at 5 p.m. and Sunday evening worship at 6 p.m. and Wednesday prayer service at 7 p.m.

     

    Piney Grove Christian Church invites you to worship with them each Sunday at 10 a.m. for Sunday School, preaching at 11 a.m., night service at 6 p.m. and each Wednesday for Bible study at 6 p.m.

     

    Liberty Baptist Church, 1206 Lane Road NW, welcomes and invites the community to worship with them each Sunday with Bible study at 9:45 a.m., Bible preaching at 11 a.m., discipleship training at 5:30 p.m. and Bible preaching at 6 p.m.

     

    If you are interested in a drug and alcohol free recovery group, call 784-5642. “New Way of Life Recovery Group” meets every Monday at 7 p.m. at Fairview Church of God in Falkville.

     

    Living Hope Church of God in Christ, located at 901 McDaniel Street, has Sunday school at 10 a.m., Sunday worship at 11:15 a.m. and Bible study Tuesdays at 7 p.m.

     

    Fellowship Baptist Church on Setter Avenue in Decatur (just west of Cracker Barrel) holds Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. and worship at 11 a.m. Call 256-355-8414 for information.

     

    Word Alive! Church and pastor Brian Culbreath has weekly radio shows on Sundays at 1:15 p.m. at 91.3 FM and Monday through Friday at 106.3.

     

    Pleasant View Holy Church of Christ on Hogan Road in Falkville (Massey), offers services as follows: Sunday school, 10 a.m.; worship, 11 a.m.; Sunday night, 5 p.m.; Wednesday night Bible study, 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.     Unity Baptist Church, located at 4506 Norris Mill Road in Decatur, with pastor Bro. Joel Snyder, has Sunday school at 9:30 a.m., worship service at 10:30 a.m., Sunday discipleship training at 5 p.m., evening worship at 6 p.m. and Wednesday worship service at 6:30 p.m. Call 353-4315 for more information.

     

    First Independent Methodist Church in Decatur will have a men’s Bible study each Tuesday starting at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Hal at the annex bldg. Bring cans for the can trailer every Sunday or Wednesday. Proceeds go toward youth camp.

     

    Cave Springs Baptist Church, located at 187 Cave Springs Road, with Pastor Jason Moore, welcomes you to Sunday school at 9 a.m., morning worship at 10 a.m. discipleship training and AWANA (babies through eighth grade) at 5 p.m. with worship beginning at 6 p.m. On Wednesday, Bible study begins at 6:30 p.m. along with GAs and RAs.

     

    Lighthouse Baptist Church meets for Sunday school at 10 a.m. and worship services at 11 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Sundays. Wednesday worship is at 6:30 p.m. The pastor is Bro. John Reid.

     

    Bethlehem Baptist Church holds Sunday school at 9:45 a.m., morning worship at 11 a.m., Training Union at 5 p.m., Men’s Prayer Warrior meeting at 5:45 p.m., Sunday evening worship at 6 p.m., Wednesday Bible study at 7 p.m. and Wednesday evening choir practice at 7:45 p.m.

     

    Oak Ridge Baptist Church, located 2.5 miles west of Hartselle on Vaughn Bridge Road, offers services as follows: Sunday school at 10 a.m., worship service at 11 a.m., Wednesday Bible study at 6 p.m. Training Union at 5 p.m. and evening worship at 6 p.m. The public is welcome. Bro. Jimmy Legg is pastor.

     

    First Independent Methodist Church, located on 3 Oxmore Flint Road in Decatur, with Pastor Hal Diagre invites everyone to Sunday School at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. Worship service and Children’s Church, 5 p.m. Book Club and 6 p.m. Worship Service and Children’s Church.

     

    West End United Methodist Church, located at 513 St. Clair St. in Hartselle, with the Rev. Richard Cassis hosts Sunday breakfast and fellowship at 9:45 a.m., Sunday school at 10 a.m. followed by welcome and announcements at 10:50 a.m. and worship service at 11 a.m. Sunday evening worship is at 5 p.m. Wednesday evening Bible study begins at 5 p.m. Bible study with children’s classes at 6 p.m.

     

    Life House Assembly of God, located on 144 County Road 1212 in Vinemont, holds weekly services on the following schedule: Sunday morning worship and Kid Zone children’s church at 11 a.m. and Wednesday night Bible study at 6 p.m. Pastor is Howard Leslie.

     

    Rock Springs Baptist Church hosts community prayer time Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30 p.m. For prayer requests, needed visits, or any other special needs. For more information, call 256-751-3149. The church is located at 525 Rock Springs Road in Hartselle.

     

    Cedar Creek Free Will Baptist Church, located just off Hwy. 31, S., Hartselle, has Sunday school at 10 a.m., morning worship at 11 a.m. Wednesday supper at 6 p.m. and Wednesday Bible study at 7 p.m. Our doors are always open.     Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, located at 721 Pickens St. in Hartselle, holds its regular services at the following times: On Sunday, the “power hour” of Sunday school for children and adults is at 9:15 a.m., followed by worship at 10:30 a.m.

    GracePoint Baptist Church is located at 109 Eva Road across from A.P. Brewer High School Stadium. Sunday school begins each week at 9 a.m. followed by worship at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday night services are held weekly at 6:30 p.m.

     

    Faith Chapel Praise Center is located at 1109 West Main St. in Hartselle. Service times are Sunday school at 9:45 a.m., praise and worship at 10:45 a.m., children’s church at 10:45 a.m., Sunday at 5 p.m. and Wednesday Bible study at 6:30 p.m. Pastors are Calvin and Rachel Westmoreland.

     

    Pine Street Independent Baptist Church in Falkville invites you to attend the following services each week: Sunday school at 10 a.m., morning worship at 11 a.m. and evening worship at 5 p.m. each Sunday and Bible study at 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday.

     

    Mt. Zion Baptist Church has Sunday school at 10 a.m. each Sunday with morning worship following at 10:45 a.m.

     

    Jesus Name Apostolic Church meets at Hartselle Wedding Chapel on Sundays at 5 p.m. For more information, call 205-873-1363.

     

    Faith Independent Church, located on Bell Springs Road, on top of Lacon Mountain, has services each Sunday at 10 a.m. for Sunday school and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. for worship (except on third Sunday nights–no service). Wednesday’s service is at 7 p.m. We are a non-denominational church. Pastor is Bro James E. Mills Jr.

     

    Pattillo Street Church of God and Pastor John McPeek invite you to Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. (classes for all ages) and praise and worship at 10:30 a.m. A Sunday evening service is held at 5 p.m. and a Wednesday service at 7 p.m., including youth activities. The church is located at 1211 Pattillo St. SW in Hartselle.

     

    Seeds of Love hours of operation have changed to Mondays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Fridays from 2 to 5 p.m. This is both a food ministry as well as a baby supply ministry. If you have any questions, please call Hartselle Church of the Nazarene at 256-773-6987. You will need to bring two forms of identification. Seeds of Love is a compassionate ministry of Hartselle Church of the Nazarene. The church is located at 739 W. Main St., Hartselle.
