Mobleys celebrate 50th
Cecil and Gail Mobley of Eva celebrated 50 years of marriage June 22.
Their children and grandchildren hosted a celebration at Quail Creek Conference Center near Hartselle. They were married in Hartselle at the home of Gail’s brother, Norman and Margean Puckett, in 1963.
After living in Falkville, Cahaba Heights and Hartselle, they made their home in the Oden Ridge community near Eva for most of the past 50 years.
The couple has two children, Kevin and wife Nancy Mobley of Spring Hill, Tenn., and Angie and Charles Teague of Helena, and four grandchildren, Morgan Wolf and husband Joseph of Meridianville, Maegan Mobley of Huntsville and Briley and Matthew Teague, both of Helena. They have one great-grandchild, Nathan Wolf of Meridianville.
They have been blessed to acquire two granddaughters through love, Emilie and Raegan Hudgins of Eva.
Cecil is retired from Goodyear Mills in Decatur. Gail has always been a homemaker. Both have shown Christ-like service in their community and church for over 50 years.
In lieu of gifts, the couple asked that donations be made to either the Mason Woods Charitable Foun-dation or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foun-dation (JDRF) of Alabama. At least $700 was given for these charities.
Photographs of the event were taken by Charlie and Aneita Scott, sister of Cecil.
