Falkville girls earn sweep of West Morgan

Falkville’s Lady Blue Devils clinched their second victory over West Morgan at home Thursday night, winning 52-46.

Sydney Moore led Falkville with 14 points.

The win improves the Lady Blue Devils’ record to 12-1 on the season. They are competing for one of the top seeds in the Morgan County Basketball Tournament, which will be played later this month.

West Morgan 68, Falkville boys 34

The leading scorer for Falkville was Canaan Smith who managed 14 points and four rebounds and Travis Cole had 12 points. Aaron Estes added four points and seven rebounds, Luke Randolph and Caleb Anders both added two points.

The Blue Devils will play at Athens Bible on Friday.
