The Hartselle Police Department is investigating the second robbery in three days at Bank Independent in Hartselle.

The incident occurred just before closing time at 7:55 p.m. Lt Justin Barley, public information officer for the Hartselle Police Department, said an unknown male approached the drive through window on foot and told the tellers that he had a gun and demanded money.

The tellers complied and the suspect left the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect is described as a white male, 30 to 40 years old, approximately 6 feet tall weighing around 180 pounds.

He was wearing a white long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and tennis shoes. He had his face and head covered with what appears to be a t-shirt. He appears to be bald or have a receding hairline and has dark eyebrows and dark eyes.

The incident is almost identical to what happened just three nights before.

An unknown male walked up to the bank’s drive through window at 7:50 p.m., told the teller he had a gun, demanded money and left on foot, according to Barley.

The teller described the man as light-skinned, brown-eyed, 6’, 6-1’ tall and weighting about 185 pounds, Barley said. He was wearing blue jeans, a black T-shirt and grey athletic shoes. He also had a T-shirt wrapped around his head.

The bank operates its drive-thru until 8 p.m.

Barley said an investigation is continuing.
