These donated items are among over 300 that will be offered at auction by F.A.C.E.S. at Sedona Restaurant in Hartselle on Mon., Nov. 19, from 5 to 8 p.m.

The 12th Annual F.A.C.E.S. silent auction will be held at Sedona Restaurant in Hartselle on Mon., Nov. 19, from 5 to 8 p.m.

At auction will be over 300 items, ranging in value from $10 to $1,450. They include gifts from Kama Salon, Robin’s Nest, Dream Cakes by Pam, Mayfield Dairy, The Red Elephant, J&P Earnest Cutlery, Emiron Music and Corum’s Building and Farm Supply.

F.A.C.E.S. is a United Way agency made up of all-volunteer board members that raise money to meet the immediate needs of 135 foster children and 120 Protective Service children in Morgan County.

They provide immediate support when children are taken into care as well as providing needs not covered by the state. Currently, the state is not providing clothing for these children due to budget cutbacks; therefore, F.A.C.E.S. is stepping up to help.

Margaret Macilveen, F.A.C.E.S. coordinator, recruits individuals, companies and church groups to sponsor foster children and protective service children for Christmas.

She invites those interesting in helping with the Christmas project to contact her at 256-340-5859.
