Joint Thanksgiving praise service set for Nov. 18

Everyone is invited to attend a “Joint Praise Thanksgiving Service” with members of Shady Grove Baptist Church, meeting at Neel United Methodist Church on Sunday, Nov. 18, at 6:30 p.m.

Everyone is asked to please bring finger foods for the fellowship following the service.

Everyone is invited to attend the Christmas Open House in Falkville on Sun., Nov. 18, from 1-5 p.m. with the following shops participating:: Apples Florist and Garden Center, Sweet Pea Antiques and Emma Anna’s Salon.

There will be refreshments for those attending and a lot of Christmas shopping fun for everyone!

Special belated happy birthday wishes go out this week to Abby Campbell on Nov. 2; Lillie Kate Eddy on Nov. 3; Pat McCleskey and Tina Jones, both on Nov. 4; Rassie Wallace and Susan Seibert, both on Nov. 6; Brandon Bibb on Nov. 7; Talon Sherrill on Nov. 8; Kayla Riggs on Nov. 9; Peyton Lindsey on Nov. 10; and Elizabeth Self and Matthew Sapp, both on Nov. 11.

Happy birthday wishes also go out this week to Clyde Gillott on Nov. 13, Bertha Self on Nov. 15 and Carrie Martin on Nov. 16.

Jenny Asherbranner, librarian at the Falkville Public Library, expresses thanks and appreciation to the patrons and friends of the library who donated books.

Special thanks also go out to everyone who braved the weather during the Falkville Fall Festival and bought bags of books.

The library still has a variety of bags of books and magazines for sale. The library is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m. and on Wednesdays from 8 a.m.-noon.

Special belated happy wedding anniversary wishes go out this week to Tommy and Janis Spinks, who celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary on Nov. 2; Tommy and Edith Parker, who celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary on Nov. 2; and Ronnie and Beth McCaghren, who celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary on Nov. 6.

Wonderful happy wedding anniversary wishes go out this week to Robert and Bertha Self, who will celebrate their 64th wedding anniversary on Nov. 13, and Ronnie and Tricia O’Kelley, who will celebrate their ninth wedding anniversary on Nov. 16.
