Larry Wayne Halbrooks

A memorial service for Larry Wayne Halbrooks, 64, of Hartselle will be Mon., Nov. 5, at 2 p.m. at Moss Chapel United Methodist Church with Bro. Clyde Ledlow officiating. Burial will be in Moss Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be Mon., Nov. 5, from 1-2 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Halbrooks died on Fri., Nov. 2, 2012, at his residence. He was born Jan. 9, 1948, in Limestone County to John Aster Halbrooks and Jane Mildred (Smallwood) Halbrooks. Mr. Halbrooks was a truck driver for the East-West Trucking Company. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Nell Halbrooks of Hartselle; a daughter, Lynn Gardella and husband Joe of Decatur; four stepsons, Rick Logan and wife Sherry and T.J. Dame and wife Kim, both of Hartselle, Tom Logan of Arkansas and Don Logan of New Mexico; two step-daughters, Tammy Simmons and husband Mitch and Janet Widner and husband Thomas, both of Hartselle; three brothers, Jim Halbrooks of Decatur, John (Sam) Halbrooks of Montgomery and A.D. Halbrooks of Hartselle; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
