Danville-Neel Elementary announces new student council officers

The staff at the Danville-Neel Elementary School is pleased to announce its student council officers. They are president Jace Huff, vice presidents Piper Darnell and Justice Huff, secretary Gabi Vest and treasurer Bo Huff. Congratulations to all of the Danville-Neel School officers.

The Carpenters Cabinet will be holding a fundraiser silent auction on Sat., Oct. 27, during the Falkville Fall Festival. The auction will be held at the Carpenters Cabinet in Falkville from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. All donations for the food bank will be greatly appreciated,. The Falkville Library will be selling bags of paperbacks and hardback books during the Fall Festival for $5 per bag. The book categories will include, children, crafts, food, inspiration, biographies, fiction, romance, mystery, historic, western, humor, sports, science, travel and more. All support will be greatly appreciated.

Special belated happy wedding anniversary wishes go out this week for Dwayne and Joyce Moore and they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on Wed., Oct. 24.

Wonderful happy birthday wishes go out this week to Janet Reynolds on Oct. 25; Shonna Solomon, Morgan Doherty and Justin Hanline, all on Oct. 28; and Skylar Kitchens on Oct. 29.

Special congratulations and “Best Wishes” go out this week to Jamie and Alyson (Steele) Robert-son who were united in marriage on Sept. 8 in Rogersville. Alyson is the granddaughter of Junior and Helen Taylor of Danville.

Everyone is invited to enjoy some good clean family fun at the Falkville Fall Festival on Sat., Oct. 27, Activities will start at 7 a.m. with a pancake breakfast, sponsored by the Falkville Volunteer Fire Department. It will continue until 11 a.m.

The festival will also feature an antique tractor show, car show and free entertainment. The entertainment will include The Dusty Winsett Band, Doug Stone and also Kevin Denny.

The festival will have a wide assortment of arts and crafts, food vendors, bingo and other activities for the young and the young at heart.
